Virginia Year 1 Online Electrical Course

The Virginia Year 1 Electrical Course is an online, interactive course that fulfills 120 hours toward the required 240 hours of formal vocational training in Electrical instruction to sit for the Virginia Journeyman Exam. This course covers electrical and construction safety, basic electrical theory, and articles 90-480 of the 2020 National Electrical Code (NEC).

ATS is listed as an educational provider on the Virginia Board for Contractors: Approved Tradesman Formal Vocation Training Providers list for 240 hours of electrical instruction. We have broken this into two parts: This Year 1 course fulfills 120 hours toward the total 240-hours and the Virginia Year 2 Online Electrical Course fulfills 120 hours. Both taken together fulfill the required 240 hours of electrical instruction.

Prerequisites:
Students are required to show proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
